According to reports, IPL 2021 will resume in Dubai on September 19, with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) facing Mumbai Indians (MI). The final match of IPL will be held on 10 October 2019. On 4 May 2021, the IPL 2021 tournament was suspended due to rise COVID-19 cases in the country. At the time of the suspension, 31 of the scheduled 60 matches were still left to be played.

IPL 2021 New Schedule
The BCCI has announced that they were confident to host the IPL 2021 tournament in India. They also said that the UAE wasn’t being considered as a backup venue. The season was scheduled to start from 9 April, with the final taking place on 30 May at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. But, after the sudden rise in coronavirus cases in India, Hyderabad was also added a backup venue, though no matches were played there.
