Hampi City Information: In the northern part of the Indian state Karnataka lies the ruins of the famous Vijayanagara Empire with its magnificent capital Hampi. With much historical importance the city was in glory for nearly 700 years. The grandeur of the city was destroyed by Mughals in the year 1565. Climate in Hampi
Dry climate and hot weather defines the weather condition of Hampi. The summer months stretches from March to May, where it becomes unbearably hot with temperature escalated as much as 40C. The monsoon season stays from June to August with considerable amount of showers along with putting a difference in the temperature. The months from November to February remains the winter season with much cooler and pleasurable weather, best for the tourists. The usual temperature in this time falls to a minimum of 12C.

1. Hampi By Air
The nearest airport to Hampi is the Bellary airport which is a domestic airport at a distance of 60km. It has well connectivity with Bangalore airport. For the foreign travelers, the nearest international airport is at Bangalore at a distance of 350km. From both the airports, Hampi can be reached through private taxis.
2. Hampi By Rail
At a distance of 13km from Hampi, lies the nearest railway station of Hospet , which has well connectivity to major cities like Bangalore, Hyderabad etc within the country.
3. Hampi By Road
The State Government buses of Karnataka are the primary mode of transport on road in and near Hampi. However there are private buses that connect Hampi with the nearby popular cities.
